Animal Crackers

Today was great. Jamie and I had planned to spend the day together. My plan was to bring her back to my house, and have a quiet day. We were going to re-enact the "Animal Crackers" scene from "Armageddon". This did not happen. While I was sad about it, we still had a very nice day.

Jamie's mom runs daycare out of her home. She needed some plastic Easter baskets. So Jamie and I spent our morning trying to find easter baskets. After about 5 stores with no baskets, we gave up and went to lunch at Wendy's. Jamie wanted to go up to Horsetooth. Although I was into this idea, because of my lack of sleep last night (see last entry), I wasn't willing to drive that much. So I suggested that we go to City Park, since we haven't been there together yet. Jamie then wanted to go to Lee Martinez Farm. So that's what we did.

After we ate, we went for a walk on the Spring Creek Trail behind Lee Martinez. While this wasn't the exciting, intimate day I had planned, we talked a lot, and it was very nice. Then I took her home and stayed with her for a little bit. Because of last night, I was getting increasingly tired. So I went home around 5. We had a great time, though.

Tomorrow is our one-month anniversary. Truthfully, this has been the best month of my life! I haven't had a better time with anyone — ever. And I don't want it to stop.
