The show was absolutely amaz­ing. We were so on with every­thing. I couldn't believe it. I'm sad because this was the last high school (and prob­a­bly last ever) musi­cal I will ever be a part of. I was able to wish Sharon a great per­for­mance before the show and dur­ing inter­mis­sion. Things seemed to be going fine.

Here comes the mon­key wrench …

Betsy "star of the show" [sur­name omit­ted] had a cast party at her house. I was sup­posed to take Sharon. At the last sec­ond, she told me that she was going to ride with Kris­tine. This struck me as strange but it wasn't a big deal. Dur­ing the party, I think she said about two words to me the whole night and ended up hav­ing Kris­tine take her home. Matt told me that, dur­ing their rela­tion­ship, she fre­quently ignored him for absolutely no rea­son. So I'm get­ting mixed sig­nals. When they left, she blew me a kiss but that was it. I don't know if I did some­thing wrong, but I hope I didn't. I am really start­ing to like her and I don't want to screw things up before things get a chance to get going. Oh god, please tell me I haven't already screwed this up …
