Tuesdays with Morrie… I mean Sharon

So Matt approaches me after Singers and says that Sharon was mad at him for "warning me about her." I told him that I didn't mention his name when I told her that people were "warning" me. He seemed to be fine with that.

At lunch, I saw Sharon and told her that I needed to talk to her. I told her that I no longer wanted to be the middle man between her and Matt and whatever was between them was something I didn't want to be a part of anymore, even though I know that I will be anyway (but that's beside the point). Then she sat with her friends and we agreed to talk later.

Cut to: Later. 3rd Hour. Sharon's English class is doing research in the media center. I happen to be in the lab and I see her. So she comes and sits down with me. I finally decide to tell her that I/WE need to figure out exactly what we are, in terms of what our relationship is. She said that she didn't really know, but what she did know was that she didn't want to be "exclusive." I told her that I didn't either (which was more of a half-truth). Actually, more true because we don't really know each other and it's obvious that we're both too busy for a serious relationship at this point. Soon after this discussion she found some way to avoid the rest of it. Then she starts talking about how she hasn't gotten my phone number yet. She continues to say that she doesn't kiss anyone until she has their number. [insert laughter here]

Cut to: On the way home. I raise the question again. She tells me that I can call it whatever I want, she just doesn't want to be exclusive. I was content with that.

Cut to: Tonight. Chamber Concert. [name omitted] is sitting up in the booth with me and we're talking about Sharon. They tell me some things that are pretty strange, but not a big deal. What matters is the end result, right? We shall see …
