Ninety percent

Well, it's been a month.

Things got off to a hefty start, what with working dragon*con and all. I've given anyone who asked about the experience some version of the same response: "It was fun, but tiring." When I returned home from Atlanta, I very quickly came down with a case of the 'con crud, which wreaked havoc throughout my lungs for the better part of two weeks.

Another Manic Monday …

From Yesterday: Well, my aunt called me last night at about 9:30 to tell me that she was still two hours away from home, and that I should go home if I could get a ride. So I called my mom and she came and took me home …

As far as today goes, Mondays are always easy. Be that as it may, the ASP staff had to have a meeting because one of the paraprofessionals I work with has problems with many staff in the program, most of all: me.

So we had to have our boss's boss come in and "mediate" our "discussion". Anyway, nothing was solved, but Nathan and I got some things off of our chests. So I guess we'll just have to wait and see …

OpenStage was as fun as ever … yeah, that's all I've got to say about that.

Hockey Hookey

Okay, so my car is still dead (FUCK!) …

So my dad had to take me to work today. The only problem with this was that he took me at 5 o'clock in the morning! So I went into the classroom and played around on the internet for a while, played Super Mario, and watched the clock slink by …

The day wasn't too bad. We had to deliver the Code of Conduct books to all of the classrooms, so that ate into the time a bit …

After work, I waited for Megan to finish school, and then we went to her hockey practice so she could be in the team picture for the yearbook. Megan ditched the rest of the practice, and we left to our second picture extravaganza for OpenStage. I actually got my *own* headshots done, with makeup and everything! (God, I felt like a stud.) Pictures are coming soon!

Then we had some time to kill, so Megan and I went to McDonald's before rehearsal. There, we got into a bit of a fight … she was frustrated because she can't do anything to help my situation, and I felt bad because I feel that I'm imposing on her by asking things of her or taking generosity as a moment of weakness for myself … sigh.

Eventually, we got things worked out, and we made it to rehearsal … which was actually the best one that we've had so far. (Yay!)

Kathy Leonard was nice enough to drive me home (she lives in Loveland, too). We had a nice conversation about my involvement in theatre and other things, along with my exile from RMHS theatre … it was really nice.

When I got home, I found out that (through no fault of her own) my mom had managed to wreck my grandma's Blazer. She was pretty distraught about that, and I didn't make things better by complaining about my car problems. So we had a bit of a fight …

I went to my room and then she knocked and we talked. She's mad because there's nothing she can (or will) do about my situation. Oh well.

Truth be told, if she wanted to do something, she would.

Anyway, I should probably end for now. Got to get up at 4:30 tomorrow! [Insert tear here.]

Till next time,
Peace, love, and gumdrops.

[Author's Note: This will be my last entry until Monday. Reason being that I'm going to house-sit for my aunt this weekend, and will not be able to update until I return home.]

Fuck, What Next?!

Forgive the vulgarity of the title, but damn!

The day was going fine at work. But the powers-that-be must have decided that I'm not allowed to have a good day, so they had the lunchladies accuse us (the ASP Paras) of, get this: stealing their food! So yeah, that was fun.

Megan got released at 2 for a game. So we talked for a few minutes and then I was off to Dan's. He's been having some girl problems (to say the least) and we hung out for a couple of hours.

Then, just as I was leaving Dan's to go to Rocky for Megan's concert (for which I was skipping OpenStage), I discovered that my car wouldn't start!

So I called my mom and she sent my dad out to Dan's to see what was up. After about 20 minutes of looking at it, he couldn't figure it out so he just took me to the concert.

Now I have NO fucking car! AGAIN!

The concert itself wasn't very good. All of the groups, including Rocky Mountain Singers, did sub-par. But it's the first concert of the year, and they'll all grow out of it. What was cool is that Joel (Lewis) came and hung out with me in the booth. Jake was there too. At the end of the concert, Jake left in a bad mood … for what reason, I'm not sure.

After the concert, Megan drove me home. She said she was worried about me, but I told her not to worry. I might take tomorrow off, too. I need some downtime …

A Minor Snap

So I got to sch … I mean work, and as I was heading into the building, I saw Megan going in too. But when she got to the door, it looked to me that she was gonna head in without me, which was a bit disturbing because I got there early to see her.

Immediately, I got pissed. After school, we talked some stuff out and I calmed down a bit.

I really need to calm down and stop letting every little thing affect me this much …

Cat’s Out of the Bag

Okay, so it's time to level with everyone. I got hired on as a Special Ed Paraprofessional at Rocky Mountain, and I've been deliberately keeping it from this site so I could surprise a certain someone … like Megan.

Reason being that we have *both* been concerned about being able to see each other and spend time together, given all of Megan's extra-curricular stuff. But hopefully, this will alleviate some of that and help us to see each other, at least a little every day. So I'm happy. And when I went to see Megan at lunch, she was too. I would have started the job yesterday, but there was a paperwork problem, so I sat at home.

But anyway, the day went pretty well. I have acheived my dream, in a respect. Now I get paid for going to school. Not a bad deal at all …
